Privacy at Tacite.ai

This page explains the current privacy posture for Tacite.ai and the associated product workflows. It is written to be public-ready for pilots and connected-service review, but it is not final legal advice.

What product data is used

Tacite is built for project context, async updates, ownership, and decision trace. Depending on the workflow, that may include task data, project notes, team updates, file references, and other operational context the user chooses to work with inside the product.

What Google Calendar data is accessed

If a user connects Google Calendar, Tacite accesses calendar event data so the product can read schedule context and create or update calendar events that support planning and time blocking. The calendar connection is only used for that workflow.

Why the data is accessed

The product uses that data to reduce coordination drag, preserve context across work sessions, and keep planning tied to real team activity instead of manual status reconstruction.

How data is stored, retained, and deleted

Sensitive activity and work context are stored on the user's device by default. Connected service data is retained only as needed to power the user-facing workflow, and users can remove connected services or request deletion support by contacting the team.

What Tacite does not do

Tacite is not built as a surveillance product. The goal is to reduce status chasing and context loss, not to monitor people. Tacite does not sell user data and does not share Google Calendar or product data with unrelated third parties.

Marketing website analytics

When enabled on tacite.ai, Microsoft Clarity collects limited marketing-site behavior such as page URLs, referring pages, device and browser details, clicks, scrolling, and masked page-view recordings. Tacite explicitly masks the early-access form, so its field contents are not uploaded to Clarity. The site sends denied analytics and advertising storage consent, so Clarity operates without analytics or advertising cookies. This website measurement is separate from the Tacite desktop app: Clarity is not included in the app and does not receive desktop activity, window titles, file paths, or lab records.
