Talk to the team first →macOS security warning
When you first open Tacite, macOS may show a warning that the app "cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" or that it is potentially malicious. This is a false positive. Tacite is not notarized with Apple yet — we're a small team and the notarization process takes time.
To open the app anyway:
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the security section. You should see a message about Tacite being blocked.
- Click Open Anyway.
- Confirm when prompted.
Alternatively, right-click (or Control-click) the app in Finder and choose Open, then confirm.
